UNI-BLOC is the stage ballast that you’ve always dreamed of. It’s easy to move, easy to adjust, and can be built into your stage design.
Unlike cement ballasts, which are cumbersome to move and virtually impossible to adjust once placed, our patented UNI-BLOC design comes with both forklift and palette jack pockets on all four sides. This means a single stagehand can move or finely adjust its placement. UNI-BLOC also doesn’t use water, making it more ecofriendly than giant, wasteful water ballasts.
UNI-BLOC is 1750lb of steel with 18 cubic ft of interior room to add more weight if needed. The top aluminum plate can adjust 4″ from center, even after truss is attached. Speaking of truss, UNI-BLOC is designed so you can attach truss to 5 sides (four sides and top). This allows you to make UNI-BLOC part of your stage design.
Each bottom corner has a pocket for adjustable screw jack legs. This means you can use UNI-BLOC on uneven surfaces, using the screw jacks to level the base.
Notice has hexagonal hole in the image to the left? There is one on all four sides. You can use these openings to access the interior space, to add more weight or store gear (we often store the screw jacks in these during transport).
UNI-BLOC Jr. is the newest addition to the UNI-Products family. A 2′ x 2′ x 2′ cube that weights in at 970lbs, this Jr. model is good for smaller applications or when less weight is needed.
It still has the same five sides of truss attachment as it’s bigger parent (all four side plus the top) and the top is still adjustable 2.5″ from center, even after truss is attached.
UNI-BLOC Jr also works with standard traditional forklifts. It has palette jack pockets too that work with 21″, narrow palette jacks. Don’t have narrow palette jacks? We do, and can send them out at your request.
Having two different size and weight UNI-BLOC ballasts gives you more options when it comes to stage design. Mix and match them with our various sized trusses to create unique and spectacular stage designs.
