Project Manager

NH / CT / Lititz, PA

United Staging is looking for our next Project Manager to head up large-scale, custom stage and structure builds for the live events industry.

As Project Manager, you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the entire project lifecycle – from initial concept development through final event execution and completion. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing staging, rigging, and event production projects while ensuring exceptional customer service and adherence to United Staging & Rigging’s core values.

You will collaborate closely with clients, Account Executives, Site Supervisors, engineering partners, vendors, and internal operations teams to deliver safe, efficient, and successful events that exceed client expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

Client & Project Management

- - Serve as the primary client contact throughout all phases of assigned projects.
  - Collaborate with Account Executives to develop accurate project estimates and proposals.
  - Consult with clients to identify project requirements and develop effective event solutions.
  - Conduct site surveys and assess venue requirements, access, logistics, and technical considerations.
  - Manage project timelines, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
  - Assign Site Supervisors and provide project direction to ensure successful execution.
  - Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges to maintain client satisfaction.

Technical Design & Engineering

- - Develop staging and rigging system designs, specifications, and layouts.
  - Create and maintain accurate Vectorworks drawings and project documentation.
  - Provide equipment cut sheets, technical specifications, and supporting documentation.
  - Coordinate with engineering firms to obtain stamped drawings when required.
  - Ensure all designs and installations comply with applicable industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
  - Maintain a thorough understanding of equipment capacities, rigging principles, and structural limitations.

Operations & Logistics

- - Develop complete equipment lists and enter project requirements into R2.
  - Coordinate equipment preparation, delivery schedules, and labor requirements with warehouse and operations teams.
  - Source and manage preferred equipment vendors.
  - Arrange rentals for forklifts, personnel lifts, generators, and other project-specific equipment.
  - Work closely with the Logistics Coordinator to arrange transportation and trucking needs.
  - Schedule and coordinate labor calls and subcontracted labor resources.

Financial & Administrative Responsibilities

- - Create and manage purchase orders as required.
  - Review and process vendor and supplier invoices.
  - Review and process labor invoices.
  - Track project costs and support budget management efforts.
  - Maintain accurate project records and documentation.

Safety & Compliance

- - Complete required jobsite safety documentation and project paperwork.
  - Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
  - Obtain and provide flame-retardant certification documentation as required.
  - Promote a culture of safety among project teams, subcontractors, and clients.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- - Minimum 3–5 years of project management experience in live events, staging, rigging, entertainment production, construction, or a related field.
  - Proficiency in Vectorworks or comparable CAD/drafting software.
  - Strong understanding of staging, rigging, structural systems, and event production practices.
  - Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  - Strong customer service orientation and relationship management skills.
  - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

Preferred Qualifications

- - Experience with R2 inventory and rental management software.
  - Knowledge of entertainment rigging standards and industry best practices.
  - OSHA certification or other safety-related credentials.
  - ETCP certification or willingness to pursue certification.
  - Experience working with engineering firms and permitting processes.

Physical Requirements

- - Ability to travel to project sites and venues as required.
  - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours during event periods.
  - Ability to navigate active construction and event production environments.
  - Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds when necessary.

DRIVER: Box Truck

Salem, NH

As a USR Driver, your primary objective is to execute on-time deliveries/pickups, with a secondary role performing daily warehouse activities as assigned.

This position will require long hours, a flexible schedule, and mandatory overtime. Customer service skills and professional appearance are extremely important, as you will engage often with clients and venue security.

The ability to drive a 24′ box truck in and around major cities and highways is crucial. Knowledge of our industry and gear is a bonus, but not required. (We will teach you)

Duties will include:

- - Maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
  - Perform general warehouse help as needed when not driving
  - Maintain cleanliness of trucks, general inspection reports, and driver’s logs
  - Available to make deliveries & pickups on short notice
  - Available to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as assigned
  - Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and customer vehicles
  - Maintain accurate pick list paperwork, including missing items and non-USR equipment
  - Other duties as assigned

Skills and Educational Requirements:

- - Ability to operate a 24’ Box truck
  - Ability to obtain DOT Health card
  - Must have a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  - Be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day

Standard warehouse hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.
Driving times outside of these hours will be required (early mornings, late and overnights, and weekends/holidays)

Freelance Site Supervisors

MA or NYC-based

United Staging & Rigging is looking for Freelance Site Supervisors to join their MA and NYC lists. You must be MA or NYC -area based.

You’ll help manage our labor crews on various staging and rigging projects, making sure projects are completed safely and on time. You will report to the Lead Site Supervisor and/or Project Manager. You will also work closely with other vendors and clients. Prior experience building and leading stage crews is a must.

A good attitude, ability to calmly and professionally manage large teams, handle potential issues, and deal with last-minute changes or requests are key.

- - Supervising and leading local crews for large-scale rigging and stage-building projects

SITE SUPERVISOR

Bridgeport, CT

We are hiring immediately for a Site Supervisor for our Bridgeport, CT location.

You must be able to work as a CT/NYC local and with office hours in our Bridgeport, CT office.

Base pay for entry-level Site Supervisor starts at $22/h and increases with experience.
With travel and overtime, full-time Site Supervisors typically earn anywhere between $50-100K/year.

As a Site Supervisor, you will manage labor teams to complete stage and structure builds safely and on time. You’ll lead various staging and rigging projects on-site and work closely with other vendors, including lighting, audio, video, and scenic.

This role is open to both entry-level and experienced stage builders, riggers, and site leads.

  - An OSHA 30 certification will be required within 3 months of employment.
  - A good attitude and the ability to stay calm and professional in a variety of situations is key.
  - This is a client-facing role.
