WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS MANAGER

United Staging & Rigging is seeking an experienced, hands-on Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee the daily operation of our warehouse and support our event-production and rental operations.

This is a working management position for someone comfortable leading employees while also being directly involved in warehouse operations.

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for warehouse organization, inventory accuracy, staffing, equipment preparation and maintenance, transportation coordination, and communication with our Sales and Production teams.

This position is well suited for an experienced warehouse leader who enjoys building organized systems, improving processes, solving operational problems, and working directly with a team.

The goal of the Warehouse Operations Manager is to ensure that USR’s warehouse operates safely and efficiently, inventory remains accurate, equipment is properly maintained, and every project leaves the warehouse prepared correctly and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:
      • Manage daily warehouse operations and workflow.
      • Supervise, train, and assign work to warehouse and over-hire personnel.
      • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and efficient warehouse.
      • Oversee equipment pulling, checking, packing, staging, loading, and unloading.
      • Coordinate receiving and processing of returned rental equipment.
      • Maintain accurate rental inventory and investigate inventory discrepancies.
      • Track missing, damaged, and repair-status equipment.
      • Coordinate equipment repairs, maintenance, and preventative maintenance.
      • Maintain warehouse supplies, tools, hardware, repair parts, and expendables.
      • Receive incoming shipments and verify them against purchase orders.
      • Work closely with Sales and Production to plan upcoming projects and equipment requirements.
      • Maintain a rolling forecast of warehouse workload and staffing requirements.
      • Schedule and coordinate deliveries, pickups, equipment transfers, and rental vehicles.
      • Coordinate warehouse staffing and over-hire labor based on workload.
      • Oversee company vehicle condition, maintenance, and required documentation.
      • Assist with deliveries, pickups, loading, and other warehouse activities when necessary.
      • Develop and improve warehouse procedures and equipment workflows.
      • Identify opportunities to improve safety, organization, inventory accuracy, and efficiency.
Leadership Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Operations Manager plays an important role in maintaining an effective working relationship between the warehouse and other USR departments.

The successful candidate should be able to:

        • Communicate clearly and professionally with employees and other departments.
        • Provide employees with clear priorities and expectations.
        • Remain organized and professional when schedules or orders change.
        • Address operational problems constructively and efficiently.
        • Hold employees accountable while maintaining a respectful work environment.
        • Anticipate equipment, staffing, and transportation needs before they become problems.
        • Lead by example and be willing to work alongside the team when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements:
      • Previous warehouse, rental, logistics, event-production, or similar operational experience.
      • Previous supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
      • Strong organizational and communication skills.
      • Experience with computerized inventory or rental management systems.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy.
      • Ability to effectively supervise both regular employees and temporary/over-hire labor.
      • Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with equipment maintenance are beneficial.
      • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
      • Ability to safely perform physical warehouse work, including loading and unloading equipment.
Standard warehouse hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm, with a 30-minute lunch.

This position requires schedule flexibility based on USR’s project and rental schedule. Occasional early mornings, evenings, weekends, extended hours, and short-notice work may be required.

DRIVER: Box Truck

As a USR Driver, your primary objective is to execute on-time deliveries/pickups, with a secondary role performing daily warehouse activities as assigned.  
 
This position will require long hours, a flexible schedule, and mandatory overtime. Customer service skills and professional appearance are extremely important, as you will engage often with clients and venue security.
 
The ability to drive a 24′ box truck in and around major cities and highways is crucial. Knowledge of our industry and gear is a bonus, but not required. (We will teach you) 
 
Duties will include:
      • Maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
      • Perform general warehouse help as needed when not driving
      • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, general inspection reports, and driver’s logs
      • Available to make deliveries & pickups on short notice
      • Available to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as assigned
      • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and customer vehicles
      • Maintain accurate pick list paperwork, including missing items and non-USR equipment

Prior experience building and leading stage crews is a must.

SITE SUPERVISOR

Entry Level or Experienced

Bridgeport, CT

We are hiring immediately for a Site Supervisor for our Bridgeport, CT location.

You must be able to work as a CT/NYC local with office hours in our Bridgeport, CT office.

Base pay for an entry-level Site Supervisor starts at $22/h and increases with experience.
With travel and overtime, full-time Site Supervisors typically earn anywhere between $50-100K/year.

As a Site Supervisor, you will manage labor teams to complete stage and structure builds safely and on time. You’ll lead various staging and rigging projects on-site and work closely with other vendors, including lighting, audio, video, and scenic.

This role is open to both entry-level and experienced stage builders, riggers, and site leads. 

      • We provide on-the-job training.
      • An OSHA 30 certification will be required within 3 months of employment.
      • A good attitude and the ability to stay calm and professional in a variety of situations is key.
      • This is a client-facing role.

CDL DRIVERS

United Staging & Rigging is a live entertainment company that has been serving the entertainment industry since 1986.  
We are looking for CDL drivers to be based from our Salem, NH shop. You must be comfortable driving flatbeds, 53′ vans, step decks, and 24′ straight trucks in and around the Boston / New England area. 
The entertainment industry is a heavily deadline-driven one, where work is completed any hour of any day. This means you must be able to work an irregular schedule that involves nights, weekends, and holidays. However, most trips will be in the north/east USA, with occasional longer trips as needed. We are not a touring company, so any longer-distance trips are short-term. 
We pay hourly instead of per mile, and pay 100% health insurance for full-time drivers. Drivers who are willing to help in the warehouse during non-driving and slower seasons will be prioritized. Prior experience in staging, rigging, or the entertainment industry is not necessary.
 
Duties include:
      • Maintain a clean driving record and valid CDL 
      • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, general inspection reports, and driver’s logs
      • Help keep vehicles in good working condition
      • Maintain accurate pick list paperwork, including missing items and non-USR equipment

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

Full-Time: Bridgeport, CT

United Staging & Rigging is seeking full- and part-time Warehouse Associates. You will be working in our warehouse prepping and putting away orders, inspecting and maintaining gear, and other general warehouse maintenance as needed.  You will report to the Assistant Warehouse Manager, but work with team members from all departments.

This role is a great way to learn more about rigging, the gear, and staging and rigging production for live events. You’ll also have opportunities to move up.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Prepping and picking outgoing orders
      • Loading/unloading USR, customer, and vendor trucks
      • Checking in and putting away rental returns
      • Maintaining, testing, and repairing equipment
      • General warehouse maintenance and upkeep
      • Availability to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as necessary
      • General understanding of the equipment we provide; standards of our industry a plus (or willingness to learn if applying as entry-level)
      • Other duties as assigned

Standard warehouse hours are M-F 8:00-5:00 with a 60 minute lunch, although working times outside of these hours will be required.

      • Highschool  / GED / or equivalent experience.
