ACCOUNTS MANAGER

MA or CT 

United Staging & Rigging seeks a motivated individual to sell, design, and oversee equipment rental projects.
Work Performed Includes: Developing strong relationships with existing and new clients through personal visits, telephone follow-up, and correspondence on a regular basis, for the express purpose of prospecting, nurturing leads, and closing sales. You will also be interfacing with clients in establishing project design and needs, and working with clients throughout the installation process.

Desired Requirements:

Minimum two (2) years’ experience in the staging and rigging industry. Must be self-motivated and able to self/direct daily activities. Knowledge of Vectorworks is a big plus.

Duties will include:
      • Handling incoming client calls
      • Working with customers to develop a solution to their event needs
      • Work with customers to prepare a rental package that will cover all of their requirements
      • Preparing project pricing estimates
      • Processing dry hire quotes for rentals and sales
      • Conducting job site surveys
      • Entering quotes into R2 and communicating with production on equipment specifics, deliveries and onsite labor as required
      • Requesting deposits and process invoices for your jobs as well as collecting on missing and damaged item invoices
      • Creating purchase orders as required
      • Processing invoices from equipment suppliers & labor suppliers
      • Requesting insurance & tax status certificates from customers
      • Providing insurance certificates to customers
      • Providing equipment cut sheets & engineer drawings as requested
      • Thorough understanding of drafting principles and symbols relevant to the theatrical and special event industry.
      • General understanding of the equipment we provide as well as its structural capacities and proper implementations.
      • Continuously developing your understanding of the products we carry and the standards of the industry we supply.

This position will be based out of our MA or CT location.

Standard office hours are M-F 8:30-5:00 with a 30min lunch, although time outside of these hours may be required and some flexibility is given.

Compensation: 

This is a salary position, paid on a weekly basis, payroll is distributed on Friday

DRIVER

Haverhill, MA  

As a USR Driver your primary objective is to execute on-time deliveries/pickups and perform daily warehouse activities as assigned. These duties will require an understanding of the equipment we supply and in-depth knowledge of the locations we serve. Customer service skills and professional appearance are extremely important. This position will require long hours, a flexible schedule, and mandatory overtime.
 
Duties will include:
      • Maintain clean driving record and valid driver’s license
      • Maintain cleanliness of trucks, general inspection reports, and driver’s logs
      • Available to make deliveries & pickups on short notice
      • Available to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as assigned
      • Assist with loading and unloading of trucks and customer vehicles
      • Maintain accurate pick list paperwork including missing items and non-USR equipment
      • General warehouse help as needed
      • Other duties as assigned

Standard warehouse hours are M-F 7:30-4:00 with a 30-minute lunch, although work/driving times outside of these hours will be required.

This is a non-exempt position (hourly) D.O.E.A detail of benefits is outlined in the employee manual. Skills and Educational Requirements:
      • Ability to operate a 24’ Box truck

      • Be able to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
      • Be proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
      • Be of good character, good work ethics, and a self-starter
      • Ability to receive direction from management and work well with staff

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE

 Bridgeport, CT / Haverhill, MA  

 

United Staging & Rigging is seeking a full or part-time Warehouse Associate. You will be working our warehouse prepping orders, putting away orders, and maintaining gear. You will report to the Assistant Warehouse Manager. This role is a great way to learn more about rigging, rigging gear, and preparing gear for jobs. 

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
      • Prepping and picking outgoing orders
      • Loading/unloading USR, customer, and vendor trucks
      • Checking in and putting away rental returns 
      • Maintaining, testing, and repairing equipment
      • General warehouse maintenance and upkeep
      • Availability to work late nights, early mornings, and weekends as necessary
      • General understanding of the equipment we provide; standards of our industry a plus
      • Other duties as assigned

Standard warehouse hours are M-F 8:00-5:00 with a 60 minute lunch, although working times outside of these hours will be required.

Skills & Experience:
      • Highschool  / GED / or equivalent experience. 
      • Be able to lift 75 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day
      • Be proficient in operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
      • Be of good character, good work ethics, and a self-starter
      • Ability to receive direction from Assistant Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and work well with all staff
BONUS SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
      • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment 
      • Ability to drive trucks
